It has been a while since I posted. Life around here is a little crazy. Since my last post we have had two more sweet babes in our home. I have a lot to catch you all up on, however, I want to rewind to September when we got a phone call about a sweet little 5 week old boy who needed a safe place to stay. An hour after they dropped him off a nurse from a local hospital came by to discuss some medical issues that he had and how to administer his medication. She told us that he was too tiny and that our goal was to fatten him up. So, we nicknamed him “Tiny”. Both he and CC wore preemie clothes and diapers. Sometimes it is amazing how tiny these babes can be.
Our puppy Indie loved snuggling Tiny. She has been so protective the babies. She will rock the bassinets and come get me if the babies start crying after a nap.
He stayed with us for about 4 days and he was the sweetest boy. He had dark curly hair and was the loudest little snorer. In his time with us he gained a whole pound and was starting to smile a bit. Even though he didn’t stay with us for very long his story had a very happy ending. He was able to go back home with his mother and we were so glad to have helped him and his mom for those few days.
