We cannot believe that we have a one year old. Sweet A had her birthday party last week and it was so much fun. We started the day off with birthday donuts for breakfast and let’s just say she was a fan
No matter where we are A is always pointing to flowers. So, we decided to throw her a floral first birthday, and since Rifle Paper Company makes the most beautiful flower patterns we used that as our theme. About a month ago I started emailing several businesses to see if they wanted to collaborate with us so that we could give her a very special birthday. We were overwhelmed by the responses we received. With their help A felt so celebrated and her party was beautiful.
Our dear friends made her a cake and a smash cake. My friend and I decorated them with flowers from The Felt Flower Shop and with a few real flowers from Trader Joes. My best friend from college made A a dress using Rifle Paper Co. fabric. Her little headband was made by the talented Little Wild Petals shop.
The cupcakes were from the amazingly delicious local bakery The Sweet Tooth Fairy .
We had a Rifle Paper Tattoo station where the littles could get “inked”. We had guests stand next to A in her high chair and take a photo with our Instax Mini Camera so they could add it to her birthday book and write a message.
Little brother even made an appearance at the party in his Rifle Paper Co. Solly Wrap.
For her birthday we gave A her very first doll. While she doesn’t have much hair (something I find to be her little trademark ;)) we have been seeing a few dark stands peeking through lately. I will be writing about this doll and how much she loves it in a later post. Her doll was made by the incredibly gifted Three & Three Heirloom Dolls who even put together a little dress so they would match for her party.
All in all, it was a birthday to remember. We feel honored that we got to celebrate A’s first birthday with her. This girl deserves the world and we are so thankful for her in our lives.
